your most personal piece of art

Since my appearance on the show ‘Home is Where the Art Is’ (BBC1) the request for
‘bespoke dreamworlds’ has become of popular interest.

When I work on commissions I aim to portray people’s ability to dream,
to take their feet off the ground and connect with their imagination.

A commissioned piece of art by me involves creating a dreamworld of your own; this can be done by bringing back memories with your loved ones, past or present events, or by enhancing all the colours of a particular one moment in time. It can also involve thinking about the future, picturing your ambitions, dreams or spiritual journeys.

The process to create a piece of this kind is not a straight path one. It involves a series of different techniques, I paint, draw, create digital illustrations and take photographs, as well as using your own if required, printed or digital.

ARTWORK SIZES
The sizes of the final artwork can vary from an A3 (29.7 x 42cm) to 3mx2.5m (such as the bathroom wall picture below). Its up to you but I wouldn't suggest less than A3 size in order to appreciate the variety of elements present in the artwork.

TYPE OF ARTWORK
The final artwork can range from a perspex mounted disc to the wall
(>> see ‘Circular Artworks’ on the Artworks page), a traditional mounted and framed artwork with glass (standard or non reflective), or you can even have your artwork on a bespoke glass coffee table (>> see ‘Art on Glass’ on the Artworks page), bespoke bathroom/bedroom/lounge wall covered with
your unique wallpaper artwork.

HAND EMBELLISHMENTS
I also apply unique, bespoke, hand painted aspects, collage, hand drawings, hand writing, textile, sea weed, gold, diamond dust…possibilities are endless.

FROM THE FRAME AND BEYOND
I also had the pleasure of adapting one of my artworks onto a bathroom wall, enhancing the space in totally new way. See below.
